sumber: epicurious.com
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fine dry plain bread crumbs
  • 1 cup frozen chopped onions <-- 1 biji bawang kuning
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham (1/4 pound)  <-- saya ganti dgn 1cwn sliced frankfurter
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 (8-ounce) package shredded Swiss cheese (2 cups)  <-- cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2tsp black pepper
  • 1/2tsp salt <-- i added
  • another addition: daun ketumbar
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F with rack in middle.
  2. Butter quiche dish, then sprinkle all over with bread crumbs.
  3. Cook onions with ham in butter in a 12-inch heavy skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until pale golden, about 5 minutes.
  4. Spread in dish, then evenly sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Whisk together eggs, cream, milk, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper and pour over cheese.
  6. Bake until top is golden and custard is set in center, 20 to 25 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly before cutting into wedges.
verdict:
even though i added salt.. masih terasa tawar (lidah melayu sungguh!) makanya.. saya makan bersama2 rendang daging korban (esok bekal breakfast, cicah sos cili je lah!)

as per other suggestion & reviews in the original site.. i shouldve added another egg.. as it didnt set very well.. a bit jiggly & agak lembik.. anak teruna pun tak boleh abihkan satu slice. poor ummi :(
